Close to 25,000 Experiencing Power in South-East Queensland and Victorian Regions Following Intense Weather Systems
Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems impacted the state, generating strong winds topping over 100 km/h.
Large Ice Stones and Broad Destruction
Locals reported giant hailstones as large as 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Utility workers were focused on reestablishing energy supply throughout the impacted areas, with nearly 70 crews activated to handle the widespread outages.
Victoria's Climate Difficulties
At the same time, nearly 1,000 households in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area recorded its wettest day in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams handled nearly 600 calls for help across the state, mainly for property damage but also for fallen timber and flooding.

- Wyndham - 179 calls for assistance
At the height on the previous day, in excess of 28,000 electricity consumers in the state were experiencing outages.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were predicted to continue along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tuesday was predicted as the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity predicted across various areas of both regions.
Health Warning
Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the current weather patterns.
This warning comes after past events where comparable situations led to significant health impacts in the state.
