Several Affected as Rough Air Strikes A Delta Airlines Flight into Sydney

A number of individuals were hurt following a Delta jet originating in LA to Sydney, Australia encountered significant turbulence on Friday morning.

Delta Flight 41 "experienced a brief period of turbulence" as it touched down at the Sydney airport, a company official informed. Four flight attendants required medical attention.

Emergency medical services reported they treated five individuals, and took a trio to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries that included pain in the back and migraines. The patients' ages ranged from their 30s up to the 70s.

The aircraft was carrying nearly 250 travelers and fifteen staff members on the wide-body jet, the representative noted, clarifying that the plane arrived "without further incident" at the airport at shortly before 7 a.m. on the day in question.

The NSW Ambulance Service indicated they got a call just a mere three minutes prior to the plane touched down, and ambulances were waiting on the tarmac.
